Dear Eliana!

Thank you very much for participating in our recital! I also want to thank your mom Natalie for submitting all of your videos.

Your piano progress made me very proud of you! It is hard to believe that all what you achieved was with no piano teacher, just with the help of my computerized curriculum.

You developed excellent posture. You have absolutely flexible hands with no muscle tension. I noticed that you gained a lot of skills and the hard work on all different aspects of my curriculum is now pays off. I see not just excellent piano performance, but solid music education.

The 'Clair De Lune'. You played the piece with a nice flow and managed to convey the very character of the impressionists' style. I was surprised to learn that you managed to organize the phrasing, articulation and dynamics of the piece. You also were using pedal and it was appropriate.

The 'Little Shepherd' was played in a good speed, with all the correct fingering. I observed that you organized the piece in phrases and sentences properly and were combining staccato and legato very well. It seems to me like you were practicing with the teaching videos and it shows!

The 'Garden' was light and airy. I think your staccato is very good! I also enjoyed listening the song's ending: you slowed down and rounded off the piece gracefully.
The 'Radetzky March' was very energetic, fast and rhythmical. It seems to me that Level 1 pieces is now way too easy for you!

I was very happy to hear 'The Sugar Plum Fairy'. Even though we still do not have any TEACHING VIDEO on this piano piece you did a great job learning it! I especially liked the arpeggio that was sound like a harp and chords in your right hand with pedal.

I am looking forward to see you at our summer classes and next semesters.

I am going to send you a certificate and little present in a memory of your another great recital!

Sincerely,

Hellene Hiner, Professor of Herzen University (St Petersburg, Russia) - Developer of the Course 'Additional vocational training program and Interactive network technologies'. The author of 'Soft Way to Mozart computer based curriculum for teaching music and piano.
